CHICKEN
The No1 ingredient in most Nutra Mix® products. All cats are predators. Therefore, a significant part of the diet of cats should be meat. Chicken meat is the most valuable source of animal protein and amino acids. We use chicken meat sourced from farmers we have been cooperating with for many years. Free-run Farm Chickens are not housed in cages and able roam freely in the barn without outdoor access. Our premium poultry is the key to natural nutrition.
EGGS
Eggs have the highest nutritional value of all animal products. Eggs are an ideal source of protein, contain all the essential amino acids and are almost 100% digestible. Eggs are also a source of choline, which plays an important role in the functioning of brain cells, as well as lutein and zeaxanthin, antioxidants that help maintain sharp vision. Our partner farms that supply us with chicken also provide us with high quality eggs. Laying hens are free to walk around the hen house, perch on roosts, and to lay eggs in nests.
OCEAN FISH
The second important ingredient for cats is fish. We have strong partnerships with selected fisheries that provide us with high quality, nutrient-rich fish. We only use wild-caught fish in our recipes. We do not work with farm-raised fish. Our main task is to purchase fish that contain the necessary proteins and healthy fats for a balanced diet.
FAT
The cats gets its daily energy supply from fats. Therefore, fats should not be in last place in the composition of dry cat food. The main fat sources for Nutra Mix® are chicken fat and salmon oil. Chicken fat is especially beneficial for cats. It contains arachidonic acid, which the animal’s body is not able to synthesize on its own. Quality salmon oil is rich in omega-3 essential fatty acids, including DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). All fats are preserved with tocopherols. We do not use ethoxyvin, BHA (E320), BHT (E321) and other artificial preservatives. This negatively affects the health of the pets.
BOTANICS
Plant-based ingredients containing healthy fibers for cats also occupy an important place in a balanced diet. We source our nutritional herbal ingredients from trusted suppliers to ensure we deliver the highest quality herbal products we can source. Many of them are low glycemic, add nutrients, and are a natural source of fiber.
